VeoTransfer

VeoTransfer will export Veo Traveler Pictures to an expansion card to be
viewed with AcidImage, PhotoBase or RescoViewer.

Operation

On the main screen your photos will be listed. Choose one to
go to the detailed view. You can delete the picture here as well.

To do batch operations select multiple photos on the main screen and use
the menu to select the operation. The export button on the main screen will
do a JPEG export.

Pictures will be exported to an expansion card. These can then be viewed
with you favourite image viewer. The output directory is "/DCIM", this directory
is the default for many picture viewers.

BMP exports

BMP exports can be started from the main menu. This is a full size 24 bit image
and will take 900k for a 640x480 image and 225k for a 320x240 image.

JPEG exports

Jpeg exports can either be started from the main screen by pushing the export
button for from the main menu. The JPEG quality can be set from the options
screen. The JPEG images will be for 50k to about 200k depeneding on the
compression level.

The JPEG export  is based in part on the work of  the Independent JPEG Group.

Options

The Brightness of the output image can be adjusted from the options screen. The
apply checkbox must be checked for the brightness to be adjusted.

The JPEG quality slider will set the quality of the output jpeg. The closer to high
the larger the image and the slower the encode.

Colour correction is on by default and is recommended for proper looking colours.
If you turn it off you will get the raw image data.

Another way of getting brighter more vivid images is to do a histogram stretch.
This spreads the colours across thier full ranges. The big histogram stretch will
the colours more.

Both the brightness and Histogram stretch can be applied to the same image
but this would only be useful in a very small number of cases. The details screen
gives you an immediate view of  the adjustments you've made.
